MAKERS RESIDENCE

Are you a maker ready to inspire and be inspired? TIOC - The Institute of Creativity - is teaming up with Makers United for the Maker Residence Program, a creative journey like no other, happening as part of Chemnitz European Capital of Culture 2025!

This is your chance to:

📢 How to Apply:
1️⃣ Sign up to TIOC.
2️⃣ Upload your portfolio.
3️⃣ Email us at info@tioc.nl and we will send you the application form.
4️⃣ Submit your application by February 1, 2025. 

🛠️ Selected makers will:
📍 Spend one week or one month in residence at local makerspaces across Europe.
🚆 Travel to Chemnitz to showcase their projects at the Makers United Festival (June 19–22, 2025).
🎓 Host participatory workshops for schools and the public.
🌍 Network with creators from around the world and present their work in a dynamic and interactive way.

🗓️ Key Dates:
🔹 Arrive at your makerspace: June 11, 2025 (1-week) or May 21, 2025 (1-month).
🔹 Travel to Chemnitz: June 18, 2025.
🔹 Makers United Festival: June 19–22, 2025.

Requirements:
🌍 EU residents only.
🌟 English skills & cultural openness required.
💡 Workshop experience is a plus, but an open and passionate spirit is a must!

What We Offer:
✔️ Travel budget (€400) and accommodation.
✔️ Material budget (€300 per maker).
✔️ Daily maintenance allowance (€20/day).
✔️ International exposure & networking opportunities.
